The document discusses various props and backgrounds used in photographs for a hip hop magazine. Baseball caps, chains, music studios, recording booths, rings, and brick walls are mentioned as being commonly associated with hip hop and used to identify the magazine's genre. The photographer chose to include these elements in their own shoot to represent the hip hop artists and appeal to the target audience.

1. Mise en scene used in double and contents page Maseulla Olomi
2. Baseball caps Baseball caps are props associated with the Hip Hop genre. I have seen in many Hip Hop magazines, artist wearing this prop. This made me decide to make my models wear it.
3. Chains I made some of my models especially the main model wear chains as this is a prop conventionally used in Hip Hop magazines. This is important as it is essential that your target audience can identify your magazines genre.
4. Music Studio I chose to use a music studio as background for some of my photos, as I thought that it was a appropriate background for a Hip Hop artist. I have seen a few photos of other artist in studios and decided that I should also use this background.
5. Recording booth I also chose to use a recording booth as a background in some of the images I took as I thought that this was a suitable background for a Hip Hop artist. I have also seen many photos of artist in recording booths so felt that I should also use this as a background.
6. ring In some of the images I made my artist wear rings as this is a prop which connotes ‘bling’ which is hevily associated to the Hip Hop genre. This is because most Hip Hop artist like to show off there jewellery and reflect there wealth. For this reason I thought it was a good idea I did the same.
7. Brick wall This is a prop that I am planning to use for some of the images I will take and place on my contents page. This is because I feel that it is a suitable background for a Hip Hop artist as brick walls connote toughness and strength which is similar to how Hip Hop artists are represented.
